Hi! I am a 20 year-old theatre student from San Francisco studying in NYC! I am an avid reader, a proud patron of the arts, and a passionate traveler! I consider myself to be incredibly lucky to have called two such amazing cities "home", and I look forward to living in and learning about London next school year while I am studying abroad. As a student of the arts, spending time in places with rich cultural histories is incredibly important to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friend from high school, pictured with me, and I will be backpacking through Italy, Croatia, Austria, The Czech Republic, Germany, France, and Spain this summer! We are staying in some hostels and AirBnBs, but want to spend at least some time living with and learning from locals on our adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to believe I have very eclectic music taste. Though my usual go-to is American Musical Theatre, I also love indy pop/rock, modern and classic rock, pop-punk, and some rap. My favorite artists include PWR BTTM, Train, Queen, Hall & Oats, JAYMAY, Josh Groban, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, and Kendrick Lamar. My favorite musicals are Fun Home, Next to Normal, and Dear Evan Hansen! I (obviously) worship Beyoncé for the goddess she is.

My favorite movie is Birdman, followed very closely by Legally Blonde and Pixar's Inside Out. I am also an avid Disney fan (Hercules or bust!). Always down for an action or superhero movie!

I have too many favorite books to choose from, but Harry Potter always has an incredibly special place in my heart (ask about my tattoo!). I'm a sucker for YA novels (The Hate U Give is my current fave!). I read a lot of intersectional feminist literature, love a well-composed graphic memoir or novel, and always travel with a collection of Sappho's poetry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm starting this summer learning about ancient Greek literature in Greece, so let me buy us a couple bottles of wine and we can have a nice symposium (an informal meeting where we discuss a topic of our choosing, like the meaning of love or the meaning of life, as we gradually get drunker). :)
