My career has me moving around the world, which offers lots of opportunities to travel and meet interesting people along the way. Currently I am in Ottawa for a couple years, but my last job was in Jordan, and I will be headed back to the Middle East in 2018 for more excitement!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have mostly been on the surfing side of CSing during my travels in the Middle East and around the US, and hosted a decent bit in Jordan. I finally have a place to host again, but prefer knowing in advance if you're interested in surfing, last minute requests are hard to swing. I initially got involved in CS when I was studying abroad in Jordan in 2009. I found an amazing host who helped me get my feet on the ground, and throughout the 6 months I was there, I met many of my closest friends through the local CS group and our weekly walks and other activities. I also surfed in Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, and around the West Coast of the US. Now, I mostly participate through the local CS group's meet ups and activities, but surf and host on occasion as well. I prefer to have an opportunity to hang out with my guests, so can't always host when I'm busy.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Catch-22, Lord of the Rings, Infinite Jest Music: currently on my list - Mumford and Sons, Decemberists, Fleet Foxes, the Punch Brothers, Bon Iver, The Civil Wars, Gungor, mewithoutyou
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I ran my first 10k under a full moon in the desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan. About killed myself since I didn't actually train for it, but had an amazing experience running (at times solo) in the dark under stars and moon.

My Interests
I dabble in a lot: photography, biking, climbing, hiking, sailing. I'm trying to get into winter sports a bit more while I'm in Canada. I also spend a decent bit of time with a mug of coffee and a good book. Of course, one of my favorite things is travel, but it unfortunately does not happen as often as I would like.
