About Me

Couchsurf in South America March-April 2015

I'm studying wine and spirits management.. next stage when I'm done is to look for a job for a few months in South America!!
I'm French and English. Grew up in Paris, France (mostly). I studied in England, now in Bordeaux and doing my internship 3weeks/month in Provence. Happy to make new friends, travel and share experiences, I like to be spontaneous and want to learn Spanish!

Life is like a book. If you don't travel, it's like you only read one chapter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfer, I've hosted friends when I was in Paris and Bordeaux, and while I was at uni in the UK.

couchsurfing on hitch-hiking trips.
I'm looking forward to many more experiences!

Sport: football, climbing, running (marathon/half-marathon,10km), pilates, swimming...
Art!! I love galleries, discovering new artists. Art is like music, to find a piece I like I need to see/hear many paintings/songs!
Languages: I grew up speaking English and French; have learnt (and still learning) German, learning Spanish, I love this language!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books about history, travellers (Bill Bryson), witty (Oscar Wilde, Stephen Fry..) I've started to read poems more recently too (Baudelaire, Verlaine, Musset)

Music: I have a very eclectic taste in music so I never know what to say. I don't really like hardcore rock though.

Movies: same as for music, apart from horror films which I don't really see the point of. I like some that challenge the way you think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oktoberfest in Munich.
Lived a year in western Africa.
Walks along the Seine at sunset.
Sunset on the beach in the south west of France.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I haven't got a long experience in couchsurfing, but started last easter and loved it. I met some great people and enjoyed this different style of traveling. I definitely recommend it. My advice would be to be open with others to get to know them as much as possible, I think 99.9% of the people who are part of couchsurfing.org are surely interesting open-minded travellers/adventurers, so trust them, but still take care.
theirs, but not sure that counts since we were already friends!)

Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Niger, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
