About Me

I am not here to BUM around :P

I am currently living in an apartment for women who have fled violence.
As I have been on this healing journey, I have been called in a way to continue my journey by turning it into a Community Healing Journey.
My goal is to stay with different families, individuals, community houses - where I can exchange my presence, my listening and hearing of your stories which with your permission will be collected mentally and used in this healing mission project through community kindness. Documented, written and eventually filmed.
I am able to help, if needed, if wanted - to organize, clean and clear your space while I am with you in exchange for your presence and space.
I also do trauma sensitive massage and I teach meditation : connecting with our breath if you are interested

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"There are as many ways to live in this world as there are people, and each one deserves a closer look."

I intend to look, feel, experience, love, document and share!

I have realized I do not really need to travel to the other side of the world in order to meet people from around the world. Grateful for this melting pot of a country. Everyday I walk outside I meet someone new.

Interests

I have this lovely silver book that I have called my Collection of the Worlds Gratefulness. So as I travel and live in different homes with different people around the world - sharing different experiences and hearing different and uniquely beautiful stories - leaving someone and their space in a better state that when I arrived and never overstaying my welcome (This is the ultimate goal.) When it feels like the right time, I may ask you to write in it. So I will always remember you, your gratefulness and use it to remind my self and heal my self in moments where I forget how eternally grateful I am for the present. The end goal for this project is to eventually start filming the gratefulness for a documentary.

Your healing is my healing, and my healing is yours.
Your heart is my heart, and my heart is yours.

Let's build community.

I am also a musician - so if you have any instruments and want to jam and create, or paint and connect with our inner child artist (regardless of if you believe you have an artistic bone in your body or not) - we can create. Kids too. They bring all the joy :)

Everything

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

“One of the most moral acts is to create a space in which life can move forward.” —Robert M. Pirsig

Creating space to move forward & Embracing all that I am on this Community Healing Journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

"It is impossible to engage properly with a place or a person without engaging with all of the stories of that place or that person. The consequence of a single story is this - it robs people of dignity, it makes our recognition of our equal humanity difficult, it emphasizes how we are different rather than how we are similar." Chimamanda Adichie - "The problem with stereotypes is not that
they are untrue, but that they are incomplete."
