I'm an early twenty something taking a gap year between my bachelors and my masters. I've got a professional passion for human rights and international relations, and a personal passion for experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and seeing the look on people's faces when I say I don't drink beer.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm au-pairing in Valencia, Spain at the moment and I intend on staying here until the end of June. Being an au-pair is tricky because there's not really a community of readily available people to meet with. It's not like studying abroad or travelling through hostels where you'll tend to encounter like-minded people. It's moving into someones house in a regular community, with suburbs and a lot of trouble-making highschoolers who yell outside your window every Friday night.

I really like the movie Coraline for some reason. I like to imagine it's got symbolism to all our lives.
And I'm a huge fan of Junot Diaz, the author.
