I am from the San Francisco bay area in California. In February 2016, I flew to Rio de Janeiro and began traveling around South America. Before leaving home, I worked as a paralegal in a civil rights law firm in New York City. I always dreamed of traveling the world and had become very passionate about photography, so I decided to leave my job, pack up my backpack, grab my camera, and fly south. After one year of traveling with a backpack, I bought a bicycle in Bolivia and have been traveling by bicycle ever since, riding north until I arrive back home in California. It has been an incredible experience, thanks more than anything to the kindness and generosity of the people and new friends I've made along the way.

I love movies, books, writing, and photography. I love to travel and be active--sports, cycling, hiking, etc. I also love cooking, meeting new people, having dinner parties, sharing some beer or wine and telling stories over a good meal.

Music: a little bit of everything...cumbia, rock, electronic, 80’s..... Some Sam Cooke, Velvet Underground, Beatles, Victor Jara, Liniker, Los Prisoneros y mucho más…

Movies: I especially love independent and international films. Some of my favorite filmmakers are the Coen Brothers, Satyajit Ray, Abbas Kierostami, Werner Herzog, Vittorio De Sica, and Kurosawa.

Books: I read a lot of nonfiction and travel writing, and always try to read books from the places I am visiting. Some authors include Patti Smith , Anthony Bourdain, Naomi Klein, Peter Mathiessen, Eduardo Galeano, Jack Kerouac, Sergio Ramirez, Oscar Martinez, Carlos Castaneda…
