Overview
About Me
Hey, my name is Dariia 😄
I was born and live almost my whole life in Ukraine.
Despite I love my homeland as much as it's possible, I also adore travelling. For me, it's a way to get to know new places and meet new people. People say I am kind and cheerful, and I think it's true 😅
I teach Ukrainian to foreigners, participant of the 'Teach for all' programme. Last year I was teaching children in the deocuppied village in the Kyiv region. I love volunteering for my community and Ukraine at all. With the beginning of full-scale russian invasion, I devote a large part of my life to volunteering and really enjoy it, together with other volunteers we've helped people deoccupied regions in Kherson, Kyiv and Mykolaiv to rebuild their houses.
Since the war in my country going on I'm not ready to speak russian or speak with russians, I hope you understand and accept my position.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering is an incredible thing for me.
I volunteered for two weeks in a town two kilometres from the front line, Kherson, which was flooded by russian troops as a result of the Kakhovka dam being blown up in June 2023.
I volunteered in the de-occupied towns of the Kyiv region, in Irpin, Bucha, Horenka, helping people rebuild their homes after russian shelling.
Together with a team of volunteers, we repaired a bomb shelter for a kindergarten in Irpin - we worked for four weekends in a row to ensure that children had a safe place during rocket attacks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach few words in Ukrainian language as well as discuss politics in Eastern Europe. I usually bring a small gift from Ukraine for my host as a souvenir.
