Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have been working across Sub Saharan Africa and Europe for the past year, mainly in finance for economic development but also as a photographer and with startups. I am now taking break from hectic life for a couple of months and try to nurture dimensions I have been neglecting because of my career.
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything really. Having played guitar for about fifteen years I've been through all sorts of genres - from Jazz (Pat Metheny, Richard Bona, Django) to reggae and dub (Bunny Wailers, Alborosie, Irrie Maffia) on through more metal-ish stuff (from Architects, Norma Jean, Parkway Drive to Rage Against the Machine, Panthera, Skindred, Protest the Hero), classical (Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, Debussy, Einaudi), all sort of punk/rock/grunge (Pearl Jam, NOFX, Bad Religion, The Briggs, Rise Against, The Bronx), drum n bass and lots of acoustic/folk (John Butler, Eddie Vedder, Jack Johnson, The White Buffalo, Bob Dylan, Ben Howard, James Bay) Favourite books - Walden (Thoreau), Ask the Dust (Fante), Werther (Goethe) Movie - The Great Beauty, Hesher, Lords of Dogtown, Midnight in Paris, The Place Beyond the Pines
