About Me
Hello! I’m currently not traveling. At the moment, I’m volunteering at a project in Itacaré, Brazil, called CEWARI—a space dedicated to exploring the interaction between people and nature.
If you’re looking for a place to step away from the chaos and stress of urban life and reconnect with nature in a meaningful way, CEWARI offers that opportunity. Here, you can exchange a few hours of volunteer work for accommodation in the forest. We provide tents, mattresses, bedsheets, and pillows—simple, comfortable essentials for living close to nature.
For hosting inquiries, please make sure to read the hosting rules and conditions in the hosting section.
For the purpose of the current research on people-nature interactions. The minimum stay is 9 days. During that time, you receive instructions on things you could help with. You will receive general instructions on all general facilities at your disposal. It will be just you and the forest those days, therefore you should be conscious and respect the living rules. If the administrator sees you are no following the rules of respect and you are being irresponsible and a potential danger to the forest, you'll be asked to leave immediately.
At the end of your stay, you will be asked to answer 5 questions regarding interactions.
A bit about me: I’m an engineer and scientist, raised in a Christian family, and I’ve had the chance to live in several countries. You can expect me to be respectful and polite, though I should mention I have no background in hospitality or performance arts. Smiling on demand isn’t my strength, and sometimes I can be a bit clumsy.
Also, a reminder—this is a forest. The animals here are truly wild; they’re not trained to approach or show affection like in fairy tales. If you wish to connect with them, it will require patience, observation, and calmness—finding your own balance in their world.
Sorry to melt any "Snow White moments" you might imagine—singing with animals doesn’t happen here. But what you will find is real nature, raw and beautiful.
Wishing you a good day.
