I am on a long journey around the world. It all began in March 2022, when I bought a one-way ticket from the Czech Republic to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina. The original plan was to hitchhike across South America all the way to northern Colombia.

And I did it. After about 11 months on the road, I finally reached the Caribbean coast of Colombia. But by then, the road had its grip on me and I wasn’t ready to stop. So I kept going - I crossed from Colombia to Panama by speedboat and hitchhiked through Central America, Mexico, and the USA until I reached Canada in October 2023. There, I spent almost a year working and traveling. Then I continued further north until I reached the northernmost point of the Pan-American Highway in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in September 2024.

With the Americas behind me, I set my sights on Asia and decided to turn this into a round-the-world trip. I spent three months in Japan, one month in the Philippines, and six months in Taiwan before finally buying a ticket to Vietnam. There, I bought a bicycle in Ha Long. My current plan is to cycle to Phuket, Thailand. From there, I will try to get on a sailboat to the Andaman Islands and India. My long-term plan is to travel across all of Asia and return to Europe in the spring of 2027
