About Me
"I’m a Cuban guy... which means I was basically born dancing, talking loudly, and offering you food even if I just met you."
My name is Davies, born and raised in Cuba, where the sun is hot, the coffee is strong, and the Wi-Fi is... let's just say “selectively available.” I now live in Spain for 3 years but I love to travel around the world with a backpack, big curiosity, and the eternal hope of finding good people and even better stories.
I'm passionate about culture, music (yes, I play none instrument😜 I can dance but sing badly😆), cooking (I can make you Cuban rice and beans that will haunt your dreams), and learning how people live in every corner of the world.
Back in Cuba, I learned how to make coffee strong enough to wake the neighbors, and how to turn any gathering into a party. Now in Spain, I’ve added a love for tapas and siestas to my skillset (although I still can’t clap on beat to flamenco).
I don’t snore (unless I’ve eaten too much), I always wash my dishes, and I’ve been known to turn awkward silences into salsa dance lessons. I love deep conversations, silly jokes, and learning new words in every language (even the weird ones).
I’m not here just for a free couch — I’m here for connection, shared moments, and maybe to teach you how to roll your R’s like a proper Cubano.
Let’s share a story. Or a mojito. Or both. 😄
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m super curious about people, cultures, and how different (and similar) we all are. I travel to connect, not to collect souvenirs. I love talking, cooking, walking around cities without Google Maps, and finding those little moments that make a trip unforgettable
