Hi, I'm Deb. I'm 46 years old and have one son in college. I decided to join couchsurfing at the suggestion of my friend, Amanda, who thinks that I would be well-suited for it as I both love hosting and am starting to travel myself.

We have a modest two-bedroom apartment and full living room. When company is here, my son usually gives up his bed and stays with his girlfriend.

I am a firm believer in mi casa / su casa - I like people to feel completely comfortable in my home. All I ask is that you show proper respect in return and leave your shoes at the door and try not to damage any of our belongings :-)

I'm friendly, love music and art, and would be more than happy to take you touring about our fair city, or leave you to your own devices if you prefer (I am, after all, pretty busy, what with being a full-time working mom and part-time student and writer.)

Music: Current favorites include: The Bouncing Souls, My Chemical Romance (and their subsequent solo work,), Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Jawbreaker (and all of Blake's other projects,) Against Me!, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Band Of Horses, Billie Holiday, Fats Domino, Etta James, Tracy Chapman.

Movies: Watchmen (favorite book too,) The Breakfast Club, This Is Spinal Tap, Inglorious Basterds, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures (and the sequel,) Airheads, Enemy Of The State, Casablanca, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (I played Columbia in the Midway Theater's floorshow for three years, back in college.)

Books: Bridget Jones' Diary (and the sequel,) everything by John Grisham, Dave Barry, Erma Bombeck, Judy Blume, Anne Rice or Stephen King, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy, The Lost World.
