I've always loved to travel but was always limited to a 30-day vacation from work. I had the dream of taking a gap year to travel the world, immerse myself in different cultures, and work in different areas. At the end of 2019, I've taken an unpaid leave to fulfill this dream. I started my journey through the African continent and then went to India. In India, I spent a month in an Ashram, in an intense daily routine of yoga, meditation, yoga philosophy classes, and volunteer work. It was an intense month of learning and extremely rewarding. Then I traveled to Italy where for 6 months I volunteered with World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) on 5 different organic farms. The experience of doing work exchange and living in Italy was transformative. So I decided to come back to Italy to do a master's in Agricultural Sciences for Sustainability.
