Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm currently not able to host since I live in a student corridor with eight other people, but I'm happy to guide or help people who come to the small city of Örebro. I'm frequently in Stockholm since I got friends and family there, so I could also help and guide you in our beautiful capitol. I would love to show my part of Stockholm and let people see it from a non-touristy point of view. Forget the castle, the city hall or old town. I will take you to hidden lookouts, the best sushi the city has to offer, concept bars and alternative shopping.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Lonely Planet or Rough Guides, cook books! Music: I'm a mass consumer of music but these are some of my favorite artists at the moment - James Blake, XXYYXX, The Black Keys, Kings Of Leon, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, Teen Daze, Crystal Castles, Washed Out. Movies: I work as a movie projectionist so I pretty much see everything, but my favorite director is Darren Aronofsky. Last movie I saw was Django Unchained and it was ridiculously good!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
In 2008 I went backpacking in Australia/New Zealand/South East Asia for four months. Came back with the experiences of skydiving, white water rafting, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, getting stuck in a cyclone, having lunch with vietnamese nuns and a failed surf course. Since then I've been infected with the travel bug and try to check off as many countries as possible. In 2012 I moved to Auckland, New Zealand for an exchange semester. The best thing I did in my life! During that time I got to travel to the Kingdom of Tonga where I only spent a short amount of time but learned more about how to enjoy life then I've done in my 25 years of living. In Tonga I also got to swim with hump back whales. That was freaky!
My Interests
I will not say travel is my passion. It's a lifestyle I've chosen. It's what I live for. Travel, meeting people from all over the world, learn about their culture, maybe a little of their language. I mass consume music and love exploring different types of genres by going to different concept clubs/bars or live concerts. I'm born and raised in a big city and although I would describe myself as a city girl there's nothing like the nature. The simplicity and the beauty of the nature is something that really speaks to me. I love being outdoors, doing sports, hiking or camping.
