Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to attend CS meetings often and still use hangouts when travelling.
I host once in a while. Not too flexible with hosting, so that makes it complicated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a few times, in Norway, in New Zealand and Switzerland. It's always been great!
Met a lot of great people through CS meetings and the hangout function, too

Interests

Cooking/Food, History, Sciences, languages and linguistics, gigs (from classical to jazz to black metal), travel, saunas, psychedelics...
I'm open to a lot of stuff (see philosophy above :) )

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : I have a subscription for arthouse theaters and I use it regularly. I tend to avoid blockbusters.
I prefer thrillers generally, especially Korean ones.
I also watch documentaries or series, such as The Wire, Community, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Battlestar Galactica...

Books : Dark Fantasy and dystopias or historical novels. I often find it sometimes difficult to get into novels, so I read more about (geo)politics or History.

Music : Indie Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, jazz, electronic music, some classical music, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed over the Stromboli (a volcano from Italy) at dusk and then night.
It was amazing to get to the top and see the red lava under.

Skydived the Fox Glacier in New Zealand

Snorkelled above with manta rays in Indonesia

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach some French and some recipes I know.

Share : a meal, a drink, travel and life experiences, a laugh or two, a visit to a museum
