About Me

As a host:
The goofy language nerd and cynical, who is still curios, because the kid inside him is still alive - still alive uhuh uh still aliiiveee 🎶 I've just moved to a new flat, so any helping idea or hand is welcome. My work schedule is a bit rhapsodic, either way you'll have around 8-9 hours to explore the town, but in my free time, I'm more than happy to get to know your world view, passions, dreams, super talents
The flat is to be renovated and might be messy, so if you've got OCD, then you'd better find another place x)

Just read carefully my profile. That's all. Don't feel obligated to spend time with me if you have other plans :) I'm not a host who's gonna expect something special from you just because you're staying at my place.

Before accepting your request, I prefer to have a small voice call/face time/whatever to check how we vibe together 🕵️‍♂️ Introverts can submit essays 😉

If you speak any of the languages, I try to pick up, you probably will be accepted

DE
Moinmoin,

was geht ab? Ich habe in Hamburg ein bisschen Zeit verbracht und liebe die deutsche Sprache, deswegen akzeptiere ich gerne Surfer aus der Region DACH

As a surfer, I love listening to the stories of my hosts, getting to know them, cooking and singing together. I might need some time to open up, looking forward to your patience :) Let's communicate openly to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. If you don't have time, that not a problem. I will respect your schedule and plans.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Eleven years ago, the idea of Couchsurfing enchanted me entirely. The whole community was incredibly hospitable and participating in their own ways.

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page" Saint Augustine

In the world, where everything slowly gets automatized and on-line, CS is a last island go back to the analog world to feel, to taste, to sniff and to hug.

Interests

As I'm still a curious kid, my circle of interest looks like an orb.

Since I have to choose some of them, here you go:
- human psyche
- linguistic
- cultural anthropology
- mythology
- rally
- foreign cuisines - yeah you've caught me - big foodie here
- music..

I've just started to collect comics, so if you could bring me one or two, I'd be incredibly thankful, and of course I'll give their price to you :) Keywords: funny, sarcastic, ironic, absurd, caricaturesque, dark, depressing, bloody, adult #notforthekids #nerd

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the time, there will be some music playing in the background, if you stay at my place. I love many different genres, say, rock, metal, drum and bass, trance, 90's, hiphop.. almost anything - send me your favorite artists or lastfm profile if you dare 🙃

As for movies, I have the same very wide spectrum from trash movies to the old deep and meaningful classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recognising and eliminating the bad social patterns in my behavior
Helping students to pass their language exams
Body surfing at concerts
Hitchhiking across Europe
...

Teach, Learn, Share

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.

Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing.

I'm big supporter of all the initiatives which aim at reducing the amount of food which gets wasted. (Good to go, Munch FTW)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My tiny flat, puns, food, idealist dreams, my enthusiasm towards languages

The requests which do not contain my name and the word Waldeinsamkeit will be most probably declined.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
