Overview
About Me
As a finance professional deeply curious about the evolving business ecosystem, I’m always eager to learn and grow. I come from the rural town of Jaysingpur, where my childhood was shaped by vibrant community life. Meeting new people and discovering different cultures excites me, and I’m convinced that everyone has a unique perspective to share.
A frequent traveler and new to Couchsurfing, I’m on a mission to explore India’s rich diversity before venturing abroad. So far, my journey has taken me through Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Rajasthan, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka—each state offering its own distinct flavors and languages in our multilingual country.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have spent 5 years in a hostel where I connected with people from different parts of India. We friends have hosted each other. The food we shared and research about the place enhanced the experiences. On my recent trip I stayed in Kanpur for 2 days at my colleagues home.
To me travelling means new experiences which includes people, stories surrounding them, local food, festivals and not just visiting places. I will love to meet people and know their story and a cultural exchange.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have met artists by visiting their rural town to know more about art. Below are some notable mentions:
Rogan Artist- Gafur bhai at Nirona village during the Rann of Kutch trip. Our honorable Prime minister Narendra gifted Obama Rogan Art on his visit to India which revived this art form which was on the verge of extinction.
Patta Chita and Poti Chitra artist - Sridhar Naik at Raghurajpur, Odisha. We met him and learnt about this art and their village. We also sighted his works at Mahakal corridor museum in Ujjain during our visit last year which made us feel proud that we had met this artist in person. I loved the drawings made on each of the houses. Raghurajpur village happens to be part of Intangible heritage of India. Gotipua dancers with gallantry awards also stay here.
Tasar silk art, Applique art and Hanging Lamps - Tribal artists at Pipali village, Odisha. Did you know that lamps you buy for Diwali are sourced from here to all parts of India? Different artifacts made by tribal artists are sold here.
Silver filigree artists at Cuttack, Odosha
Bandhani saree weavers in Jamnagar, Gujarat
Patan Patola saree weavers in Gujarat
