Learn a song in every possible language!!
Moved to Valparaíso at the age of 18, fell in love with this magical city, been here for more than five years now.
Sometimes I study, sometimes I make music, sometimes I work as a foreign language teacher, which basically means that in the morning I teach Spanish to international students, and in the evening I teach English to my fellow Chileans.
I've learned that one must embrace life as it comes, with every single victory and defeat it brings. I particulary love languages, sounds and melodies that make you rejoice, smile and dance!
Oh and my name's Diego.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Dando una mano cada vez que sea posible. Though I might sometimes not be able to host you, feel free to drop me a line if you're planning to be in town, there's always some time to go for a drink or play a couple of songs.
I hosted & met a big bunch of amazing travellers, musicians and locals in Valparaíso, Chile. I also had the chance to discover a bit of the Aussie lifestyle while backpacking and surfing couches myself for the first time in Australia in 2012.
New challenges, the ocean, the sound of languages, creative music, education, linguistics, travelling experiences, eating fruits or empanadas, sharing beer or wine.
Music, Movies, and Books
Música: un poco de todo, acústicas, sonidos latinos, reggae, rock, cumbia chilombiana, anything with a brass section is always tasty!
Libros/películas: anything that inspires people to do sth in the real world!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Earthquakes in northern Chile as a teenager (2005 & 2007).
- Easter Confest (April 2012).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Español, English, or melodica, and give you some insights into Chilean culture, language and society.
I'd like to learn how to cook new recipes, write songs, play accordion, a bit of video recording and I'm always up for practising a bit of Português, Deutsch, Svenska or Suomi!
