Learn a song in every possible language!
Moved to Valparaíso at the age of 18, fell in love with this magical city, lived there for more than 6 years.
Sometimes I study, sometimes I make music, sometimes I work as a foreign language teacher. I spent my last days back home teaching Spanish to international students, and English to Chilean people!
I love inspiring, brave people who march to the rhythm of their own drum.
I've learned that one must embrace life as it comes, with every single victory and defeat it brings along!!
Languages never cease to amaze me and I'm a big fan of all sorts sounds and melodies that make you rejoice, smile and dance:D
Oh and my name's Diego (not dieggnr) ***copy paste request red flag*** haha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Though I might not be able to host you, feel free to drop me a line if you're in town, there's always some time to go for a drink or play a couple of songs.
I hosted and met up with a big bunch of travellers, musicians and locals when I lived in Valparaíso, Chile and in Melbourne, Australia.
I had the chance to discover the local lifestyle through CS while backpacking for the first time through Australia in 2012.
In 2015/16, I went back to Oz and took part of a collective in Melbourne where we welcomed many many travellers who would become lifelong friends:)
European summer 2016: my longest cs-solo trip up to date, words just can't express how grateful I am of every single soul I found on my way!!
I particularly like people who don't entirely copy paste CS requests, let's keep this site spam-free please.
New life challenges, the ocean, the sound of languages, the unpredictability of solo travel, the sounds of the nature and the city, creativity, education, linguistics, music and people's diversity, fruits, empanadas, ice cream, beer and wine:)
Music, Movies, and Books
Música: un poco de todo, acústicas, sonidos latinos, reggae, rock, cumbia chilombiana, experimental, anything with a brass section is always tasty!
Libros/películas: anything that inspires people to do sth in the real world!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hardcore earthquakes in northern Chile (2005 & 2007).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a bit of Español, English or melodica, and give you some insights into Chilean culture and language (español chileno po).
I'd like to learn how to sing, properly take photos/shoot videos with my camera, cook new recipes and write songs.
Oh and I'm always up for practising some Português, Deutsch, Svenska or Suomi!
