Learn a song in every possible language
Moved to Valparaíso at the age of 18, fell in love with this magical city; stayed there for about 6 year; it became my second home. Sometimes I study, sometimes I make street music, and sometimes I work as a language teacher (or other odd/fun jobs as well).
I enjoy meeting positive, inspiring, brave and optimistic people who march to the rhythm of their own drum:) I spent my last days back home teaching both Spanish and English to adults and teenagers. Languages never cease to amaze me and I'm a big fan of all kinds of cultures and sounds that make you smile and dance.
As of 2021, still based in Prague (CZE).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've done a fair bit of hosting and surfing here and there:) CS has proven to be much more than just a free place to crash on. It's been an invaluable way of discovering hidden gems and connecting with locals/fellow travellers. This is all about trust, and imho, that's exactly what we need most in our society these days.
Oh and my name's Diego (not "dieggnr")
***☝🏼just a quick copy-paste request red flag right there haha
New life challenges, oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, big cities, little towns, the unpredictability of solo travel, music jams, busking, working holiday visas, exploring unusual places, creativity, education, linguistics, history, photography, people's stories, fruits, beer, wine, empanadas and paltas.
Music, Movies, and Books
Un poco de todo: latin, andean, reggae, rock, cumbia chilombiana, experimental... anything with a brass section is always tasty.
Books, movies and documentaries that inspire you to do something in the real world or that depict a lifestyle different than ours.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not sure if it counts, but I experienced two severe earthquakes as a teenager back in 2005 and 2007, and lived to tell the tale. Both followed by a tsunami alert, half of the city evacuation and all the chaos it involves with barking dogs, screaming ladies, broken glass... just another regular day in Chile🇨🇱 haha!!
Being a part of Melbourne's Crunchytown and Wellington's Crowsnest community houses was a life changing experience too🇭🇲🇳🇿
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a bit of Español, English, how to play the melodica or give you some insights into Chilean culture and language (español chileno po).
I'd like to learn how to cook new dishes, write songs, sing properly and take better photos.
I could share a meal anytime. Drinks and music too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Probably breakfast. Also some great tips on affordable and inexpensive travelling.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Serbia
