Über mich
I’m a Mexican living in Logan, Utah. I study journalism and communication.
At home, I like to think about life while listening to music.
I live in a mountainous place so retreating to the mountains is vey good for me, with wide valleys and beautiful birds. I like Logan, but I find the conservative, religious culture socially suffocating and isolating. I would consider myself a creative person and someone who is striving to be a whole, peaceful individual who isn’t afraid to be himself and find his place in life. My mission: I’m working on it, but I want to make enthralling art and make journalism better. I want to leave the world a better place by the time I die.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I don’t want to be a tourist. Well, maybe a little. But consider me a traveler that is here to explore a new land! I seek to know its people, language and culture, so that i may remember it well.
I’m here, because I’m a curious person and common experiences are nice, but there’s something more intriguing to me about roads less traveled.
Interessen
I love walking and biking, of course. I also like tasting coffee, beer and wine. I’m interested in learning about local culture, history, music and art. I’m interested in photography, drawing, writing and dancing to old pop music haha. I like cracking jokes. Ultimately, I’m interested in people and how random and unique, yet similar we all are. I’m excited to explore the world!

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Pond, candy claws, the knife. I love the books Fight Club, Don Quijote, Lolita, and I’m working on Ulysses. I like reading about Marxist/socialist economic theory. My favorite movies are Eyes Wide Shut, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Lost In Translation and Akira.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I helped organize a protest against the meanie-capitalist, coal-loving Koch brothers who have slowly gotten a bigger and bigger influence in my university. I was interviewed by the Associated Press and my name was printed in 100 different newspapers around the country, including the New York Times! So that was pretty cool.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I just love learning about languages, any language and about its slang words. I can tell you all about Mormons and their practices. I’m not Mormon, but I know a lot about them because I used to be one. I like science so much and like learning about soils, chemistry and psychology.
Within the arts, I can show you my artwork and talk about art in general, but I have a lot to learn. Would you walk me to a cool place you have a memory at?? I like cooking, let’s cook something. I can make us some salsa!
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Good company. Stories about Utah and Mexico. I’ll share my life experiences, too. I clean up after myself. I also won’t be offended if you don’t hang out with me. I’m pretty low maintenance.
I like talking and learning about art, philosophy, politics, comedy, adventures and the oddity and banality of life. I like getting to know people in general. I like to think I’m pretty unique and could offer some new perspectives and hopefully gain some new ones as well :)
I’m also willing to help with any gardening. I have my two hands to share and I’m happy to help with housekeeping.
