About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy and make people happy. Discover the world and people.

ABOUT ME

I'm taking an extended sabbatical, travelling a bit more than usual :-) and enjoying life.

That's not really a description, though, right? I'll throw in a couple of adjectives (for more, I suggest emailing me!): free-thinker & non-conformist, smart, respectful, positive, easy-going.

When abroad, although I'll gladly accept couch offers, my main goal on CouchSurfing is to meet interesting people. The more I travel and the more I favor insights into local culture and way of life over the touristic atractions. That's why I seek encounters for intense discussions or just hanging out and having fun.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was invited to a small house party in Casablanca, and a wonderful lady there, learning I was headed for Marrakech, decided to call up a friend for me to meet... We met for a tea, had a blast and I stayed at his place (huge house! :-) for three days. It was amazing to talk and visit with someone local from such a different country. I felt really lucky to make this chance encounter. CS has been an extension of that experience with some nice surfers visiting me and some wonderful experiences meeting many people with CS in Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic tastes in music, from mainstream pop to lots of EBM/industrial. I tend to read more in French, with much admiration for Houellebecq, Beigbeder, Gavalda, Vian and Dumas. For some reason, in english I tend to read more scifi/fantasy, George R R Martin, Heinlein, ... So many great movies, some I watch over and over would be Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Love Actually, Out of time, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky enough to travel to many places in Europe, Asia and get a glimpse of Morrocco and Australia, so picking one thing is impossible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's not forget that the path is at least as important as the destination.
