CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to get in touch with people who want to travel and see something of the world. I may be able to host such persons and likewise I would like to be hosted when I need a place to stay in another country.

ABOUT ME

I am a very active person, swim 3 or 4 times a week, read about a book a month, I keep my weight down and eat healthy, attend meetings once or twice a week, don't own a car anymore, but bike all over town to run errands, etc. For the rest I use public transportation. I have no T.V., have never missed it! I am optimistic, easy going, laugh a lot, love to explore people and places.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe to do unto others as I would like them to do unto me. I am an agnostic, not religious, although brought up Jewish. I feel Jewish, but don't practice it, other than lighting Chanuka candles and celebrating an abbreviated version of the Passover Seder. I am a Peacenik and against any kind of war. I am an environmentalist and want to help to keep the world healthy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had never done this before, but in the meantime have had a wonderful trip to Greece, where I stayed with some of the nicest Couch Surfers, thanks to this column!

兴趣

Reading, writing, movies, theater, swimming, politics, (left of center!), local Jewish women's group, my family of 6 kids and 12 grandkids, traveling.
I am planning a trip to Chile and Peru in the fall of 2006. Would love any invitations from people in those countries to surf their couch for a day or 2.

I have put 6 beautiful kids into this world and raised them to be wonderful people, who have presented me with 12 terrific grandkids. And meanwhile I also received 4 adorable great-grands! That is my richess!
