CURRENT MISSION Mission is to enjoy life to the full, travel even more and carry on making documentaries and TV movies. ABOUT ME On the surface, I'm a fairly straightforward down-to-earth Englishman - hopefully well-mannered, well-spoken and with a degree of charm and humour. Underneath I'm probably more complex: I've travelled a lot, seen weird and wonderful things, had many interesting experiences and have lived an exciting and fulfilling life. Now, after a small pause for reflection, I'm about to do it all over again. I've recently moved to a strange and atmospheric medieval apartment [1380]in a tiny rural town about 10 minutes from the spectacular and beautiful Devon coast. It's an inspirational location. PHILOSOPHY For the moment, I'm just trying to be relaxed and happy. I've recently been doing some lecturing (in my own field) to some very bright young people and I've found this incredibly rewarding. I think that it is a duty for those of us who have been fortunate enough to have lived a good life to pass on some of our skills to others.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Too many to relate here - but let me mention one of the most simple yet inspiring moments - and that was waking up at dawn on the beach in Skagen, Jutland, where the Baltic meets the Atlantic. Incomparable!
