CURRENT MISSION To fully experience this moment ABOUT ME We are both 44. Damien is a dentist and we are a homeschooling family with 5 children, 3 now in college. We live outside of Gainesville, Fl in a big White House with an almost wrap-around porch and we also have a doublewide mobile home we Airbnb but couch surfers can stay a night no charge. We are living "the great experiment" and we are hoping you will surf with us. We have 10 acres, 2 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a tank full of fish. It's peaceful here and we spend much of our time outside. PHILOSOPHY We live to serve each other and our community. We are very family centered and strive to take care of each-other, ourselves and our global family.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Right now we are up for hosting. One day we plan to start surfing! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We tried during our trip to Italy and there was basically no one hosting!.We visited Honduras 2010 and stayed with friends there for a week or so- that was our first out of the country experience as a family. In 2017 we went to Ecuador! We went to Italy summer 2022.
Music, Movies, and Books
Bethany reads all the time- she has no standards when it comes to reading material- you can bet she's read most of the classics and most of the trash out there too. Damien thinks books are a good place to put his glasses before he falls asleep :) (wow! Edit time!!! Damien is now a reader!! He's making his way through some books and not even napping!) Our family loves music and we make a little in our home when the mood strikes.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Damien says graduating from Dental School was a pretty amazing thing to do. But not as amazing as being there when each of his 5 children made their appearance in this world. In 2009 Bethany joined the freebirth community and birthed her 4th child unassisted at home. Baby 5 was born 2011 unassisted.
