About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I work at a cinema in my hometown, Rochdale.

ABOUT ME

I am punctual and committed. I am occasionally opinionated, I try to stay out of conflict unless it is directed at me for some unjustified reason. I like to try new things and I also like quiet times, e.g. going for walks, sitting down with a brew and watching a classic film or TV programme. Good personality and great sense of humour (If I find it funny).

PHILOSOPHY

When an opportunity comes, grab it with both hands!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN

I think this website is a great opportunity not to just find a new way of getting accommodation, but to meet people and exchange life experiences. I have some great experiences so far and I have met some amazing people, to find out things about them and to share my experiences with them.

EXPERIENCE

I love and it's like an adventure - to meet new people from different backgrounds and stories to tell. I can't wait for more!

Interests

Art, architecture, cinema, meeting people, nature, rambling, socialising, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love films with a good story, especially historical ones. Music - I am an 80s fan, it was the decade I have earliest memories of. Books - not much of a book reader, I should though. The one was Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, great and disturbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working as a volunteer (twice!) in Africa and helping to change some people's lives in some way! I've also worked as a volunteer for 5 years at an organic farm in St. Vincent.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning new things from each other. A friend told me and I agree is that you never stop learn until the moment you die. Knowledge is power and you can do so much with it. It's endless!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences and the things I've seen and done; exchanging these kind of things.
