About Me

If your sending a host request for Napier, plz read the my home section carefully and see if the arrangment suits. You wont meet me, as im in Europe but i try to accomadate ppl where posible in a caravan i have there.

I identify as a nomad. I was born in the UK and grew up in New Zealand, but im not from anywhere. I live in a van and i migrate with the seasons, as many other species do, prefering to spend the cooler months in southern Europe and the warmer ones further north. Recently in the summer i like to leave the comfort of my van to do a several month hike with a backpack, hammock and cooking on a fire, this is when i feel the most free. I have comleated 3 long hikes, the spine of NZ's north island, the pyranese(gr11) and most recently a traverse of the carpathians from Czech republic to the south of Romania. Future hikes i would like to do inclue a south balkan crossing(med to black sea) and the Caucasus mountains(georgia and azerbaijan). In the winter i tend to be more chill.

For me Freedom is the most important thing, tho i know for diffrent ppl that means diffrent things. I have created a lifestlye that has a lot of freedom and i currently, mostly enjoy it tho i have been through depression before. It is scary to have witnessed during the last 2 years how easily the general public accept a huge reduction in freedom. Freedom of movement to me is a basic human right and i will not accept that being taken away. Sorry any polititions on here, nothing personal. I am not 'double jabbed' and will not be, but repect everyones personal choice on this matter and apreciate the same in retern.

Discovering this App realy changed my life, and gratefull for it everyday. For me CS is much then a free place to stay, its emabeled me to meet heaps of amazing, like minded and non judgemental people from all over the world, many of which have become long term freinds. I regualy invite CS's to travel with me in my van through the event platform, which is some of the best experiences i had.

Im definatly a nature/outdoors person and spend most of my time there, but trying to learn to be comfortable in an urban enviroment aswell. Would much rather explore abandoned buildings then take photos of historoc ones.

I enjoy sitting around a campfire with a few beers having deep discussions about life. Always up for discussions on morality and so see diffrent veiws on my own opinions. I enjoy cooking, but not exactly a chef. Im a vegitarian when dumster diving and vegan in all other scenarios. Dont worry, i really couldnt care less about your dietry prefrence. I belive in everyone living by their own ethical values and not judging others. Iv recently become quite addicted to dumster diving and trying to rescue most of my food from waste.

I dont personaly belive in theories of reincarnation or the afterlife, so im trying to make the most of this one intstead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent almost 2 years in near isolation, which taught me humans are not solitary creature's. Im here to make new freinds and find people to share my next adventure with, wherever that will be.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im probaly the least musicaly minded person you will meet on this app, but i like to listen to it, I dont have a favourite band, genre, atrist or anything like that. Good news for you, we can listen to your music if we hang out🤣.
Iv'e never had a TV so im a bit behind on the movie's sceen too, but now in europe i have affordable mobile data so i have been very slowly watching some series on rainy days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
