About Me

If you are sending a host request please read the my home section carefully. We do not live in a 'typical' house or apartment. Some guets have come without reading and expecting something else, and ended up getting a hostel instead. Most ppl realy love the place, please save yourself and me the time, by reading and deciding if this is the experience you are looking for.

I am definitely a nature guy, and I'm fortunate to spend most of my time in some kind of natural environment wether I'm traveling or at home. I love trees and plants. I'm not into Cafes, restraunts, bars, clubs, and it's unlikely you'll pursuade me to go to one, I'm down to hang out in the forest, the beach, at your place or at mine.

I wouldn't say I'm from anywhere, I don't identify with a nationality or believe in the concept of it, but for those who do I was born in the UK to British and Irish family, grew up in New Zealand, and have lived Nomadically for many years. I now have a base, a beautiful garden and an eco project in the south of Spain where I spend about half the year. I am also a thru hiker, and travel by backpack for 3-4 months at a time sleeping in hammock and cooking on fire. I have walked the carpathian belt, across the balkan penisular, Atlas, and the pyranese/cantabrian mountains of northen spain. Next year I will walk across the Jungles of Panama and Costa Rica. I'm very interested in hosting/meeting anyone who's been/from there. Disclaimer: if I'm sending you a request, I'm probably on a long hike, walking through mud, climbing over slippery trees, sleeping outside, naturally my clothes and backpack will be a bit grubby, probably a few rips and burn holes too. If that's not cool in your home, please don't accept my request. I wash myself everyday when there's water available and clean my teeth likewise 😬

For me Freedom is a very important thing. It has been scary to witness events over recent years that have taken this away from so many people. I dont know what the future holds, however i think further reductions of personal freedoms and quality of life by global agenda is not unlikely. I belive in honesty and morality and doing the right thing as oppose to following laws and social contructs.

I live an alternative lifestyle but I wouldn't go as far as to say i live outside of the system(I'm writing this on a smartphone connected to the internet). I'm humbled to live in time where such things exist and are easily available.

Tho i havent used it so much recenty, discovering this App realy changed my life, and gratefull for it everyday. For me CS is much then a free place to stay, its emabeled me to meet heaps of amazing, like minded and non judgemental people from all over the world, many of which have become long term freinds.

I am a keen Dumster Diver, and i souce most of my food this way. Id be glad to share with you this fantasic skill iv learned. I am vegetarian in regaurd to recycled food, and a vegan in other instances. I don't drink Alcohol anymore, but can enjoy a splif with good company.

I dont personaly belive in theories of reincarnation or the afterlife, so im trying to make the most of this one intstead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im probaly the least musicaly minded person you will meet on this app, but i like to listen to it, I dont have a favourite band, genre, atrist or anything like that. You get to be the DJ
Im a bit behind on the mobie scene as i never had a tv, but since the affordability of moblie data in recent years have been enjoying watching tv series. Always open for new suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking the length of Morroco's Rif middle and high Atlas mountains. Aswell as many other similar length hikes.
