Currently touring Central America

I am just a girl-trying-to-be-a-woman sometime within this millenium, but not before I really have to! A Disney theme parks lover who is quite 'at home' for hours in a bookstore, and needs a trip to the theatre very so often... even when it's not my own show. More comfortable in a jazz-lounge or music-in-the-park type setting than a sweaty booty-shaking situation.

My 'real age' defies my 'biological age'... but isn't that the case with all people who work with children and teens on a daily basis?

Ever heard of Up With People? I suppose I'm continuing that mission of dismantling prejudices one actual conversation at a time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don’t surf; I join the meetups and offer tours or to accompany on excursions. I enjoy being a tourist in my hometown.

I was warmly welcomed 'For Coffee and Drinks' (and parties) by the Saigon, Seoul, Beijing, and Bangkok communities when I was there.

Disney, reading, dancing, trivia, board games, cigars, hiking, roller-coasters, learning about history without knowing I'm learning, sightseeing, water (I like boating, inner-tubing, doing cannonballs from the high dive!)

MUSIC: I can't lie, some of that indie stuff and techno crap drives... me.... NUTS! And no, I do NOT think 'world music' is all existential.
But for real... I'm a GenX Black woman from America. I live and love R&B, NeoSoul, and Hip Hop. (n-o-t gangsta rap or mumble rap... REAL Hip Hop). And though I'm not Christian myself, I grew up on Gospel music, so I like the music when it's 'feel good' not 'preachy'.

Oh. And showtunes.

I apparently do things that other people consider amazing, but it's just normal to me. Such as, when I visited the Great Wall of China, I decided it needed dancing on.
