About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Yes I have a mission. I'm fascinated by the greenbelt. Go ahead, look at it. Most likely, you live somewhere near it.

https://www.greenbelt.ca/

Maybe one of the best things the region has going. And I"d like to cycle it, parts of it, and then all of it. And I'd like to tell people about it.

ABOUT ME

I'm from Toronto, and have returned to live in the area where I was born. Sort of sounds grand, but basically I wanted to be closer to my immediate family. I like to teach, read, bicycle, do yoga, write occasionally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host people quite a bit, to contribute to the overall community. I'm principally available to host, and if there is time/opportunity to show people around a bit. Or have a meal together. Basically I try and let guests do their own thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many and they've all been positive.

Interests

This summer I'm interested in exploring the GreenBelt biking trail. I cycled the Waterfront Trail a few years ago and it was very pleasant.

I'd like to cycle the trail and use couch surfing as a type of anchor. I might even write about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

"A River Runs Through It."

Books about Trout

"The School" by Donald Bartleby (about 600 words, 3 pages) is one of the most complex short stories I've read to date. Would love to discuss it with someone

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling Related:

Cycled through S Korea, top to bottom, along the west coast.
Cycled through Cuba, Holguin to Havana.
Cycled Toronto to Montreal.

I like to cycle.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I could teach you about, if you're interested, is the wonderful world of online research and education. Basically the world is changing quickly (you already probably know that) and the education field is evolving to keep up.

I find this quite exciting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my extra set of keys. Those will most likely come in handy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Japan, Mexico, Morocco

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Israel, South Korea
