About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do what I love and forget the other shit

ABOUT ME

I grew up on a cattle ranch in central Montana and later moved to a rural farming community. After high school I traveled to Alaska and got into commercial fishing. I realized how much I loved experiencing different ways of life and seeing new things.
The traveling bug began and soon after I discovered climbing. I have worked various jobs around the country and other countries to fund my climbing addiction.
I'm in Hawaii now working to save money for the next adventure

PHILOSOPHY

This quote reflects my personal philosophy. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote this about 6 years ago and the update is after. "When I read this question the most recent and amazing thing that pops into my head is an adventure I had in Laos while traveling their. Another traveler I met from Germany and I baught a wooden canoe in Northern Laos from a local villager. We went down a river for 5 days sleeping on the beaches and staying with villagers. We did not see one westerner for 4 days. Some of the locals along the river would stare in disbalief as we paddled by or as we walked up to a village for food or sleep. Little kids who had never seen a westerner would run away terrified or stare and wave. It was an amazing experience that is hard to explain."
Now the most amazing thing I've done is this past winter traveled to Patagonia. My climbing partner and I spent 6 weeks established a new rock climbing route on a remote big wall similar to the granite walls in Yosemite.

Teach, Learn, Share

You've got to do what you love even if the book says you're suppose to do it a different way. Life is to short to be sad so be happy and life will be great.
Those who live without risk risk not living at all.
