About Me

I love intercultural exchange and meeting new faces and people. Nothing - except for parrots, whales and AcroYoga - gives me more inspiration.

Part of me is also our daughter Kosma (8) and her father and my longtime partner Jonathan, with whom I share an open relationship (always an interesting topic to talk about).

All the three of us used to travel a lot in the past and we are glad now to give back.

We love movement, music, nature, hiking, biking, simple food and deep talks about society, history, the absurdity of mankind (sometimes), the financial system, alternative lifestyles etc.

I work as a Guide in the local outdoor climbing park, as a Yoga teacher and creator of Shampoo bars. Jonathan works at the nearby Waldorf School and is a swimming teacher. He studied Sports in Cologne, I studied languages in Berlin and Göttingen. We both also started a kids circus recently in our village.

Together we are fluent in German, English, French and Swedish. We also understand quite a lot of Spanish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I love to dive directly into the culture which surrounds me and always prefer the natural way to the anonymous tourist landscapes :)

At home I enjoy having the spirit of travellers around us and love having guests.

Interests

Our common greatest hobby is AcroYoga. This is a partner sport where the awareness and softness of yoga meet the playfulness of acrobatics.
Jonathan is a real musician and able to nerd about all his Synthesizers, his loop stations and his many instruments. My musical side includes playing the ukulele and using my voice :)

We love being outside. I try to be in the woods for a walk almost every day and love bathing in wild waters - no matter the season and the temperature!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Daniela:
- Giving birth to my daughter in our teepee tent
- living without spending money for 1 year
- meeting wonderful hitchhikers in Big Sur California
- escaping Corona-Germany with a spontaneous flight to Andalucia..

Kosma: Playing in beautiful rivers, exploring the Caves of Nerja, meeting dog friends everywhere, searching avocados in the Bosque Humano..

Jonathan you will have to ask yourself :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Daniela: some AcroYoga, wild outdoor kitchen (herbs and mushrooms) and we can play the ukulele together...?

And Kosma can show you how to really really enjoy being in any kind of water and how to observe the sweet little details in life. Furthermore she is a really tough trampoline jumper! ;)
