HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a lapsed couchsurfer. Not a failed couchsurfer, but a lapsed one. Somewhere about 4 years a go I decided to be sensible and get a job and work too hard.

What a fool I am.

I still jump in and out of emergencies as ambassador, but with a stack of other voluntary positions its a tricky one to juggle!

I hope that you will be able to assist me in my rehabilitation!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hmmmm...it is a funny thing. It starts out as couch surfing (in my experience) and ends up like crashing at a friends, because most of the best experiences in couch surfing leads you from one friend to the next, if you are lucky!

Intereses

Anything vaguely creative, including drawing painting photography sketching ironing (yes it is an art apparently, but not particularly creative admittedly) filling in long forms trying to describe yourself (you have to be creative, I'd hate to come across as boring, ironing aside of course), postcard writing, (well, not really) postcard receiving (yes please) internet, lots and lots of any type of music particularly live performance, culture of any description not otherwise found in a petri dish, food, food, food, clothes, general fashion and non fashion, playing the guitar badly.....etc.

Música, películas y libros

I read everything from John McGahren, Beckett, Joyce, Twain, Bryson, Flaubert, Alain de Botton, right through to Terry Pratchett, assorted Architecture and Design journals. And Cosmopolitan. Well no not the last one. Unless I am in a Doctors/Dentists Surgery waiting room, but they are usually too big to hide in a National Geographic. Music, folk, world, rock, alternative, bands like The Waterboys, Doves, Radiohead, U2, Mercury Rev, The White Stripes, The Hives, The Thrills, Franz Ferdinand, Badly Drawn Boy, The Devine COmedy, Noir Desir, David Gray, Billy Bragg, The Beatles, The Who, The Smiths, Happy MOndays, Primal Scream, The Chemical Brothers... Movies anything by the Cohen Brothers, Jim Jaramush, European Cinema , Documentaries, Experimental Cinema, VJ's.....and loads more....
