About Me

improving all my language skills, especially Russian !
Take time for traveling, worrying less, making the best out of all opportunities!
Making the best out of every day to regret nothing later !
Becoming a better photographer (?)

Well, I leave that to you for the time when we potentially meet XD.
What I can factually say though is : I grew up on a small piece of land nearby Madagascar and moved then to Europe for studies. I was (too) lucky enough to get a lot of interesting studying opportunities abroad and got really into traveling and meeting people from all over the world. A question still needs to be solved : will I ever settle down and where ?

I have been changing countries quite often, studies (Erasmus, Vulcanus), working in companies, research institutions, followed entrepreneurship (and still doing so)... I am currently based in Manchester until.... ???

I love languages ! Learning them in all the country I have lived in always helped me in the greatest possible ways one could imagine ! Whenever hosting/surfing I will try to get some words/sentences of the person I have been around with. If I can, I will always converse with you in your mother tongue (we could even bet about that...)

Stop worrying, start living, stop dreaming, do it !
People from small countries should open up to bigger ones.
What does not kill you makes you stronger
Life is a book and people who did not take the chance to travel just read the first chapter/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hosting whenever possible (as long as I have my own place or live with some people that I manage to convert to CS spirit).
Spreading the word to people I can somehow feel they could enjoy this spirit and spread it too. I will always do my best with my guests so that they really cast a nice image of their CS experience (particularly if these people are brand new in the community) in their mind.

My very first CS experience was in Hawaii for my birthday. I am glad I have been introduced to this.
I have been active in Stuttgart, Tokyo and Vienna after this and really enjoyed this. I have really met some great people through that and a few of them became close friends. That is worth everything !
I surfed couches whenever I was provided one, and also host people unregularly. I gladly show them around and give people a free tour when my schedule allows for it.

Traveling, latin dances, wine (tasting, not wasting/binge drinking!!), outdoor sports generally speaking (hiking, trailing, canyoning, snorkling and diving) and the last (?) but not the least : dancing and singing (karaoke in Japan and in Vienna) !
Photography (started with night landscape and got to try fashion photo-modelling which I also enjoyed a lot), hoping to be able to focus more on it and work on some website :)
you can

I am doing my best to read more and least one book per month. I am reading much about psychology, effective communication skills, self-development etc...

I love cooking, and prefer to do so if I can. I am easily bribed with cakes, and wine (if they are well paired, even better!). If I can, I will cook for my guests, but I will not mind if you want to get control of the kitchen and cook dish of your home place XD

Music, Movies, and Books

Gladiator, Troie, 5th Element, 6th Sense, the Green Mile, Pearl Harbor, Lord of The Rings, Sexual Intentions, Star wars, Shakespeare in Love, Matrix, Sweeney Todd, Pirates of The Carribean, Interstellar, Gravity, 300, Sin City, The Prestige

Muse, Keane, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Keren Ann, Natalie Walker, Linkin Park, Hoobastank,Gwen Stefani ... . I do not have specific taste, just as long as i like it.

Le dernier jour d'un condamne, Romeo et Juliette, Da Vinci Code, Angels And Demons, Dale Carnegie, some biographies, self development books...

I have a lot of interest for politics and economics and can spend hours reading about it. I have no commitment to any political party though.
I recently tend to read self improvement book, or hypnosis, human psychology

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have seen erupting volcanoes a few times, as I am coming from a volcanic island myself and grew up there .

Seeing whales on a pure lucky time on Reunion island, and in Iceland

Swimming with seals in Hawaii (scary but unique)

Getting basics of Italian language so that i could travel there in 4 days (thanks to a few CS)

Managed for the last 6 years to spend my birthday every year in a totally different country ! Doing my best to keep doing it !

Living in Japan for one year, learning the language from scratch and ending up running a seminar at Waseda University invited by a friend.

One host told me I should put that one :
Playing hide and seek in Prypiat, Chernobyl, with my guide and my friends in an abandoned hospital. Playing with my friends in the radioactive grass (kind of fun engineers of my kind seem to have...). Want to know more ? Lets meet up :) !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the languages that I know, as I used to do tutoring. I can teach you also cooking things from my homeplace if u like cooking. Can teach u finally some rudiments in photography (my expensive hobby). Im no expert but I also like to share salsa experience, Im just really addicted to it.

I do like to learn in any possible way about possible thing. Meeting someone new is already learning in a kinda way. This goes the same way with sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

potentially a couch XD
free wifi (yeah it counts...)
a free tour of Manchester or Vienna
