About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring Alberta and British Columbia (Updated Sept 2019) with the van conversion I've been working on for six months :-).

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty relaxed and chill, and I love getting to know all types of people. I'm all about phenomenal experiences and living in the present moment. I'm all for any activity that works the body both physically and mentally, whether it be back-breaking hikes, and nice meditation session, or stimulating convos.

I currently living in San Francisco, California and would be happy to show you my city when you visit :-)

Also a big fan of startups and entrepreneurship. Happy to chat about any ideas or ventures you may want to pursue. Worked in finance, got sick of it, and now work in tech in San Francisco.

LOVE urban farming. If you have chickens or a goat you get + 1 million points.

PHILOSOPHY

People who laugh live longer so I don't take myself too seriously. The best jokes come from popsicle sticks.

Eating alone is one of today's biggest societal travesties.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By surfing and being open to surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Three awesome experiences so far. My first time was in Yokohama, Japan with a new friend I've made, Hana. Second was in Montreal with Joelle, a very kind hostess who treated me like family. My most recent couchsurf was in Arizona where my friend and I watched spring training baseball at Zach's place. Zach's a mad good rapper!

Interests

I enjoy sports of all kinds. Anything with physical movement is perfect by me. Dallying in pilates currently. If you host me I'm up for teaching you about a sport or hearing about your traditional athletics. I love experiencing new foods as well. I'm going to learn to dance too, don't doubt it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Warren G, BEASTIE BOYS, and the Streets are all I need. Daft Punk, Ben Harper, N.E.R.D., Jurassic 5, Muse, Keane, Sigur Ros, T.I., Jay, The Coup, on and on...

Let's swap music! Spotify is my religion :-).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

San Juan Islands in Washington, Backpacked through Europe with three of my good friends, then backpacking Japan alone (two completely different experiences that were way too fun). Now living abroad in Sydney, Australia.

Lived in Sydney, Australia for two years. Amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an avid tennis player. I'd definitely be willing to hit if you'd like. I will respect your couch with care, even clean it up a little bit. Trust me, I will be the most handy guest you'll ever have

I've also built out a custom adventure van from scratch! You can see a few pics here, https://www.instagram.com/p/B0oJwCQgb4r/. Be happy to help with some handyman projects, as I've learned to love the art of building and crafting things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to offer some pleasant conversation and company. I love sharing my culture as an Asian American, and learning about yours too. Be happy to take you out for a meal if you'd like. I love to eat, so let's grab a bite!
