My wife (Emma) and I live with our two boys (Xavier and Anakin), our daughter (Iselle) and our two cats in Kew, a suburb on the inner east of Melbourne. Before having kids, we quit our jobs, packed our bags and went on an extended trip across Asia and Europe. It was amazing!

We couchsurfed with a number of families in Europe and had wonderful experiences. Now that things have settled down with our kids, we would be happy to host some people now and again. We would generally prefer families with kids or couples.

As for our house, we live in Kew, about 5 kilometers to Melbourne's east.

Interests

We both have very diverse interests. Apart from traveling, we're both very outdoorsy and love being immersed in nature. We both love hiking, camping, skiing, going to the gym, etc. We're also both crazy about tennis! Edgar has played the violin since he was five and we have a house full of musical instruments. Musical people are very welcome!

We both also love cooking and like to experiment with different styles, etc. If you love cooking too, we'd love to cook with you and learn more about local cuisine.

Music: we have pretty diverse interests, ranging from pop music, to jazz and soul, to tango and latin, to opera and classical - and just about everything in-between.

Books: history books, travel books, fantasy (especially game of thrones)

Movies: we are both sci-fi fans, and love comedies and dramas (with substance of course).

TV: we love series and documentaries

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We did a 200km unassisted trek through remote northern Mongolia. It was one of the most challenging yet rewarding things we've ever done and an amazing adventure!!
