ABOUT ME

Hi !

How are u doin'? thanks for checkin' my profile :)

I am Edouard, from France. I live in a small town near Paris, it's quite easy to access the city of light by train. It's quiet, green and beautiful, there is a big castle. Pretty cool, even though, for a young and active person, it's not the best place as there are not so many bars or any activity at night... Paris isn't far away though :)

I'm pretty relaxed, and don't really know what I wanna do with my life at the moment. I spent five years studying business but I must say I was not convinced by these studies, now I try to switch to something more interesting to me. Still not sure what :) So in the mean time, I'm travelling, a lot... A bit too much maybe..? Or is there such thing as too much travelling.. I don't know :)

Update: I'm now studying to become a documentary film maker. I think I found my way, I just love meeting people and filming stuff !!

Anyway, I'm pretty open minded, and I really enjoy a good bath into another culture. I like good food, and always try to eat the special local thing. "Do as the locals do" is one of my motto.

I'm quite adventurous, I actually wanna be more, trying to do the things that I thought I could never be able to do before. I like these little challenges.

I also like lazying around, watch a movie, going to parties, drinking beers relaxed with some friends at a random bar and meeting new people. Dancing as well, even though I'm not so good at it !

Overall I'm a very curious guy, if u have any plans, just tell me, I should be up for it!

Oh yes, I have a big family, I'll tell u about it when we meet :)

PHILOSOPHY

A sentence has come handy in my way of thinking. Basically, it was about the fact that when you are young you have all the abilities to do anything you want but no time, and when u get old, u have lots of time but not the abilities to do things.
I think it's true, so I try to enjoy my life and do lots of stuff now and postpone the serious stuff to later :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in many places, mostly middle east with turkey, Iran, Syria, Israel, Palestine... I live with my parents, so it's a bit difficult to host myself...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Overall, my couchsurfing experiences were great. I met great people and some became friends beyond couchsurfing.
While couchsurfing in Jerusalem, I stayed at Matan's place, and Yom Kippour was coming. It's the most important jewish holiday where u fast (Food and drinks) for 25 hours, go to synagogue to pray, talk, use no electricity of any kind. the day before, I asked him if I could follow him for that, and managed to do it with him. I thought would not be able to do it, especially not drinking any water at all!! But finally, it was a great experience that I will remember all my life. Of course, on the night where it ended, I got really drunk. Maybe one of the first time I actually deserved it :p

I think almost everything.
I like reading, watching movies, playing tennis, going to exhibitions, going to bars, meeting random people, dancing, lazying around, eating good food (and crappy food), sitting at home etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In cambodia, I hitch Hiked on the roof of a truck for 13 hours. I was lying with a blanket, the sunset, the stars over the head, a joint, an awesome girl. It was perfect !
