Hi! I’m Carlos from Ambato, Ecuador. I’m a Principal Data Engineer & AI Engineer, passionate about technology, innovation, and how data and AI can change the world. Outside of work, I’m a father of two (Emily, 8, and Thomas, 3), and I love sharing new experiences with them.

I enjoy good conversations about science, philosophy, and culture, and I’m always curious to learn from people with different backgrounds. I’m also into padel, Formula 1, and exploring new places. When traveling, I like to mix local culture with a bit of adventure — whether it’s trying new food, walking through hidden corners of a city, or just sitting down with locals to hear their stories.

I really enjoy meeting new people, sharing a beer, and having good conversations that go from everyday life to deeper topics like culture, travel, or even science and technology. Dancing and music are a big part of my life — I love the energy they bring and how they connect people instantly. I also like spending time outdoors, discovering new places, and experiencing local traditions when I travel.

I listen to all kinds of music depending on the mood — from Latin rhythms that make me want to dance, to rock classics, electronic beats, and sometimes even calm instrumental music.
Movies: I like a mix of thoughtful films that make you reflect, as well as action or adventure movies that just entertain.
Books: I enjoy reading about science, philosophy, and big ideas about how the world works, as well as stories that make you see life from a new perspective.
