About Me
Hey there! I'm Katya — a 27-year-old originally from Bulgaria, now living in Switzerland, where I studied Biology. My love for nature has shaped a lot of who I am — I’ve worked in a zoo, taken part in botany fieldwork, and spent countless hours exploring the outdoors.
Right now, I work as a Program Manager, organizing courses and supporting start-ups — but whenever I’m not doing that, you’ll probably find me dancing (from Bulgarian traditional to Latin rhythms), hiking through forests, or traveling solo with a camera and a backpack.
I run a YouTube channel called No Network with Katya — where I share raw, real, and personal travel stories from remote places, often off the grid, where there's no signal but plenty of soul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that travel is about people, not just places. I'm here to meet locals, share stories, and learn about the daily life, culture, and traditions that you won’t find in guidebooks.
I'm deeply curious about how others live, cook, celebrate, rest, and connect — and I’d love to exchange not just travel tips, but life experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love playing the piano and cajon! I like all kinds of music - from jazz to reggaeton! Since now I am learning Spanish, I tend to listen to Latin music. In addition, I used to play the Cajon in a street musician group at Zürich Lake, which was magical - the water, the moon and the stars, Uetliberg, the swans, and the music...
I prefer reading books to watching movies. Right now I am reading books regarding yoga, personal development, and psychology. Otherwise, I am a fan of classical literature like Jane Austin or Jack London.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
