About Me

I am a Mom of two girls aged 10 and 12. I am Irish and lived in Tanzania for many years (where I hosted a lot on couchsurfing and warm showers) before recently moving back to Ireland. We now live close to Cloughjordan eco village and are members of the farm and participate in other community activities. I work in IT on technology to facilitate the electricity grid to transition to higher proportion of renewables. I cycle as a mode of transport and have never owned a car. I care a lot about the environment and environmental issues.

As a way of promoting travel without flying so we can save our climate, I have now decided to host only people who have not used planes to travel to Ireland.

If you are requesting to stay with me please also read about my hosting arrangements by clicking "read more" in the above "accepting guests" section in the app or the "My home" section on the website.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy hosting guests as a way of having interesting conversation, and my children also like hosting other children and adults, and it is a way for them to learn about different people and places.

I also like hosting people who are doing volunteer work in areas I support, as a way of contributing to what they are doing.
