ABOUT ME

I enjoy traveling and have been to many countries. I have summer and Christmas holidays off, therefore, I have the time to go and explore the world. I teach at a technical college, and also work at a homeless shelter.

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling and meeting diverse people is the ultimate experience! Always treat everyone with the greatest respect, and never consider yourself above (or for that matter) below anyone else!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently had my first couchsurfing experience in Haiti. It was the ultimate cultural experience! I got alot more out of it than if I had not been a memeber of this wonderful community. Afterwards, I continued to couchsurf through the Dominican Republic. My only regret is that I didn't know about this site much sooner. Imagine all of the missed cultural experiences and friendships I could have had if I had got on board sooner.

Interesses

I'm quite diverse. I can enjoy a lazy day reading a great book or have a wild adventurous night partying. It depends on the scene, and the group of people. I love nature, and small fishing villages. I also enjoy the myriad of museums in the cosmopolitan city.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Too many to outline here. We must have a few beers/glasses of wine and I can tell you many stories. Some of the highlights though are:

Resigning my job in the late 90's, and traveling the world for three and a half years.

hitchhhiking for six weeks through Colombia in 1998, Chile in 1999, and Malaysia in 2001.

Climbing Macchu Picchu

Seeing the movie (City of Ghosts) filmed in Cambodia for two days with the actors Matt Dillon, James Caan and Gerard Depardieu. Knowing the producers son really got us "front seats" in the movie set.
