Overview
About Me
ciao! (or tsau! 😽) I’m Elis.
I’ve been living in Tartu for the past 4 years, studying computer science in uni here and now working in in IT. In my free time I try to travel and collect as many experiences from around the world as i can 🌞 I’ve spent some time living in Australia and backpacking around Asia and Europe, during which couchsurfing has been a real lifesaver for me at times and has also given me some lifelong friendships, so I’m here to return the favor and hope to show the same generosity that I have been given in the past :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s so fun and inspiring to meet people from all walks of life, I find that every person has something important to teach me - either about them, life, or myself. Couchsurfing is a great platform to get to know people whom I’d otherwise probably never cross paths with.
Interests
i love a good adventure, talking to strangers, learning something new, laying on a nice patch of grass, grabbing a beer with friends, riding my bike, peeking into peoples windows, trivia quizzes, art galleries, live music, baking, cinema, trying new hobbies (salsa dancing, pottery, knitting, harmonica..)
Anything that can give me a new perspective on life or just some inner peace 🧘♀️

Music, Movies, and Books
my all time favorite band is Kino
I like new wave, post-punk, indie/alternative, psychedelic rock, soul, jazz, and ofc techno on a night out!
I love movies or books about raw and authentic human experiences/connections or also just very visually striking cinema (2001, the lighthouse, the green knight, enter the void, stalker, la grande bellezza..)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking solo with absolutely no plan and no worries, definitely the most free I’ve felt ✨
And of course earning the love of my cats 🐱
