About Me

My name is Elisia. I am from the United states. I studied world religions at Indiana University. I have been working as a farmer, landscaper, and cook since I finished school. I was born in 88. I enjoy kick boxing, carpentry, permaculture, spanish, and cooking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love creating common spaces and community wherever whenever I can, so that people can lean on, depend on, and help each other without it becoming a commodity.

Interests

I want to study more Latin American history and I want to learn more about indigenous populations in the area as well. I want to know all there is to know about the body, healing techniques, herbal medicine, and emergency medicine. I love exercising; bike riding, yoga, kickboxing, jujitsu, jeetkundo. I spend warm seasons back home gardening and playing in the dirt.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nonfiction includes anything about race, gender, sexuality, politics. Octavia Butler and other sci fi ! Other fiction includes mostly graphic novels. Love greg rucka y alan moore but definitely only skimmed the lot of their work. Hell blazer is prob my favorite. Anime. Anything mysterious, noir, or about spirits like Death Note or Natsumes Book of Friends. Any kind of girly anime like Gourmet Girl Graffiti.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently finished training and certification tests for my EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) license in the state of Indiana.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share knowledge about sustainable farm practices, gardening skills, permaculture techniques, and how to throw a punch . I have some experience as an ESL teacher and would love to teach more English or even beginner Spanish . Learn ; I would love to cook w/people and learn recipes from their cultures. I am very open to peoples hobbies and interests. I love spending time w/ people who will share their skills! I want to learn languages, history, and geography from new friends of new places. Fishing and sail boating are two skills I would love to learn right now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind and friendly company. I love to have an involved host but I am also super independent. Iam a very accommodating perrson and the time we share can be as little or as much as you like! The same goes for a visit to my place in the U S.

Countries I’ve Visited
