Overview
About Me
Through this app I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to meet many unique people and my favourite part - some of them have become dear friends of mine.
Sometimes I enjoy spending chill time at home, sipping tea and exploring new music, reading books, I also enjoy going to nature, to seaside, forests and I really love geocaching that often brings me to new interesting places. I also love going on spontaneous adventures, erasmus+ youth exchanges, exploring/ discovering random new places and learning anything about this world through other people! So I will love to hear your stories, your passions and knowledges, experiences and discoveries, literally I can listen for hours, it will be my pleasure :D .
I also make some wooden art sometimes (my art work on instagram: @karlabird_riga)that’s my hobby and soul work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and learn about our different cultures, learn different perspectives, hear the locals view of their home :)
also couchsurfing helps me with budget traveling, seeing the local lives as well as I can give back to the community and help other budget travelers out! This is my way of traveling when I’m home- other travelers bring their adventurous spirit and their culture which is my pleasure to witness. I enjoy exploring my city/country through the travelers eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any music genre, honestly. Depending on mood. But I do love some unique sounds and fusions of different genres, like folk combined with rap and hip hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After I finished my high school and didn’t know what to do with my life next, I felt extremely lost and with 0 direction in life - so I followed my heart and went to Erasmus+ Youth exchange for 9 days.
Afterwards I worked for a few days in a new job where I couldn’t stay any longer because I knew how much I love traveling, so I quit and continued traveling with these Youth exchanges and hitchiking for the following 3 months.
In those few months I was in around 7+ countries. For the first two times I went outside of Europe to another continents. I started using couchsurfing during that time as well. I made the best memories of my life. The wildest adventures. Met so many lovely people. Discovered so much about myself and the world… so after that I knew what I want to do with my life next.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my knowledge on woodworking and how to apply to Erasmus+ projects. I can share my time and will love to hangout, explore or go to some event together.
I love to learn from others, any knowledges you’re passionate about, but if you somehow have managed to pursue a digital nomad lifestyle or something similar to that and are able to travel most of the time- please share how you have achieved that with me :D
