ABOUT ME

fairly laid back australian, i love to travel and be in interesting situations where i can meet people and see different things. i have been playing music for the last 10 years but have recently decided to put more of my time and energy into it, thus relocating to europe and be surrounded by music and other fun things. i have been learning spanish for the last 5 years and recently spent time in guatemala to get my conversational skills up to speed, and incidentally fell in love with the place and hope to go back.

couchsurfing! i like to host when i can but unfortunately that hasn't been so much lately. will relocate to europe in mid 2010 and will have an apartment to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

arriving in a new city and meeting a stranger in their home, and then after minutes or hours getting to know them and feeling the buzz of what it is all about. i really dig that. also hosting people and making them feel at home, that is so much fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love old(er) hitchock films, a bit of arthouse and don't mind the occasional mindless blockbuster on a sunday night with a block of chocolate, beer and a good friend. my music taste changes constantly. at the moment i love air, elo, smog, dr. dre, the roots, bon iver, sinatra, amy winehouse, catpower (sometimes), micah p hanson, gnarles barkely, cee-lo, calypso music.. really anything of any genre that comes from an honest place and touches me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

everytime i climb a volcano it is pretty amazing to me. also any sunset.. i think. there are too many things, i will have to get back to this one..

i am a good vegetarian cook, i (nearly) speak spanish and can play guitar, and would gladly share this with others.
