About Me

About me: friendly, curious, always having what-should-we-do-with-our-lives questions, a bit crazy, kind of shy sometimes, and indecisive (too) often
Philosophy: learn each day

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a surfer, I don't necessarily expect a free accommodation, but to discover new people and their way to look at our world. I truly believe that the most important is not where you are, but who you are with. (Also, I'm a clean, respectful and easygoing surfer :-P)
Hosting is a way to give back, and a good reason to keep my apartment clean ;-)

Interests

Yoga, hiking, camping, photography, philosophy, sunrises, museums, any kind of exploring, ecology, meditation, bookstores, flea markets, wine tasting, sailing, tiny houses, visual arts, peaks above the clouds, reading, writing, minimalist lifestyle, brutal architecture, cacti and succulents, meeting new people, violet flavored ice cream, street art, cooking, playing chess, entrepreneurship, cinema, botanical gardens, alternate states of consciousness, abandoned places, hitchiking, any kind of making (from craftsmanship to 3D printing), psychology, neuroscience, forests.. and traveling (obviously)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I mostly read non-fiction. Philosophy and personal development. Nietzsche, Hans Jonas, Michel Serres, Aristotle, Antique philosophers, Leibniz, Bergson, Kant.
I also like very much The Alchemist by Coelho, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Kundera, and probably my favorite of all times: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Cinema: Into the Wild, The Pursuit of Happiness, Out of Africa would be my favorites I guess, as well as most of Lelouch's, Miyazaki's, Bertolucci's, Almodovar's and Jarmusch's films. And I like thrillers in general. I'm also a big Ted Talks and Arte documentaries enthusiastic. I can watch Netflix sometimes (like Black Mirror).

Music: I believe the music I listen to is quite eclectic, and I'm always happy to discover new musicians / styles. These days my playlist includes for example: Four Tet, Gogo Penguin, Michel Berger, Edith Piaf, Sampha

Visual Art: Team Lab, Olafur Eliasson, Tomas Saraceno, Yayoi Kusama, Caroline Corbasson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Funny things like paragliding over Lima thanks to my CS host Eduardo, or getting lost for more than 40 minutes crawling in the Parisian catacombs, or even going to the dentist in CDMX bc I couldn't afford it in the US.
Volunteering in different organizations has been amazing and growing experience. And solo travelling too: I would recommend to do it at least once in your life, especially as a young woman.

Teach, Learn, Share

Interested in learning how to work stained glass, play the ukulele, and low-light photography tips!! Also, I'd really like to be able to ski, but everytime I tried I felt like in a Les Bronzés comedy..
I can teach some yoga asanas and flows, give advice about how to grow any kind of plant or getting more minimalist!
