I’m a 40 something gal that enjoys traveling, often solo, and with spontenaity. **I’m not here for dating!!! There are other apps for that*** I genuinely enjoy meeting locals and other travelers, learning history about a region and mostly enjoying a city as the locals do.

I prefer exploring cities and towns with old architecture over nature. I often travel domestically to see Phish play live, which is just an excuse to explore new cities with my best friends. I’ve worked in sales in renewables the last decade which has offered me a little flexibility. I love living in New Orleans, my home since 2019. It’s not all fun there as many visitors see, you have to feel the pain, heat and poverty of the city to truly love and enjoy the soul that it offers.

I have a spare bedroom and bathroom at my home in New Orleans, often empty. My home also comes with my senior, snuggly and obstinate bulldog who may want to cuddle with guests. I’m happy to share my space.

I just set up a new Couchsurfing account in July ‘25 while I’m traveling around Europe. I used to use it about 17 years ago when I lived in New Zealand. While I do not have Couchsurfing verifications or many references yet I’m happy to share my Home Exchange profile with several reviews as both a guest and traveler.

I’m also a member of the Home Exchange community, which has offered a great opportunity to travel and share my home without expense for accommodation. I love the Home Exchange trust and community. I used Couchsurfing nearly 2 decades ago when I was traveling and living in New Zealand. A recent Home Exchange host recommended Couchsurfing to meet people in new cities as well as find accommodation for short stays. For me this is great as I do explore solo quite often.

I’m excited to become more involved, and also be able to host and get involved in group meet ups in New Orleans. I love offering local tips and keeping visitors off the tourist routes. I even have a Google map with over 300 destinations.
