About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spreading and deepening my understanding of the incredible power of collaboration.
ABOUT ME
I’m a cheerful, empathetic, and open-minded person, always looking for new experiences and opportunities to grow. I love connecting with people from different cultures and sharing life stories that inspire deeper understanding and connection.
Twelve years ago, I wrote here that I loved parties, traveling of course, live music, and playing soccer — and many of those things are still a big part of who I am. But over the years, I’ve also shifted more toward personal growth, meditation (like Vipassana), collaborative work, and purpose-driven social and environmental projects.
Music is still one of my passions — especially reggae, dub, electronic beats, and cumbia for dancing — and lately I’ve been exploring how to mix and create music myself. I enjoy laughing, exchanging ideas, and sharing good vibes wherever I go.
I deeply value respect, kindness, and openness. I believe in creating safe and welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen and appreciated.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Life is better when we share it. I believe that genuine human connection, mutual respect, and curiosity are the foundations of a meaningful life. We all have something to teach and something to learn — and the world becomes richer when we come together with open hearts and open minds.
I try to live simply, stay present, and contribute positively to the people and places I encounter. I believe in giving more than I take, listening deeply, and collaborating to build a more compassionate and connected world
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I’ve hosted many travelers and stayed in lots of homes myself — Couchsurfing has given me some amazing experiences over the years. I’ve also joined a few meetups when the timing and location worked out, and I’ve always enjoyed connecting with the local community that way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I truly believe Couchsurfing is one of the best travel networks out there. Through it, I’ve had the chance to meet and share unforgettable moments with incredible people from all over the world — laughing, learning, and building friendships that go far beyond borders.
Interests
I enjoy trying different activities and developing a variety of skills. I love playing instruments like djembes, ocarinas, and percussion, and improvising music with my friends. Being outdoors is important to me — hiking up hills, trekking, swimming in the sea or rivers — I find peace and joy in nature.
Music is a big part of my life, both listening to all kinds and creating it myself. I enjoy dancing, doing and learning new things, going to parties, and having long, meaningful conversations over a drink. Nowadays, I try not to drink much alcohol, but I’m a big fan of coffee, kombucha, and mate (I still drink but not too often).
I’m very active in sports, but my favorite is soccer. A childhood dream of mine was to be a professional player and play for my team, Universidad de Chile. I loved going to the stadium to cheer for my team, as well as attending concerts and cultural events.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting Tiahuanaco in Bolivia was one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences of my life. I had the chance to dive deep into the wisdom of this magnificent ancient culture. A local man who lives there shared an incredible book with me, which opened my mind and heart to a new understanding of their spiritual worldview. As I explored the sacred ruins, monuments, and pyramids, I was filled with awe, seeing with new eyes the profound legacy of the Tiwanaku civilization.
One of the most surprising discoveries I made—something not widely known, even among Bolivians—is that Lake Titicaca (the lake of the sacred puma) holds the shape of a man, a fish, and a puma. The Tiwanaku people were aware of this and incorporated these sacred forms into their architecture, symbols, and crafts. Their deep connection with the cosmos, nature, and geometry continues to inspire me today.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to share what I’ve learned over the years in both creative and professional areas.
I can teach macramé weaving, staff juggling, percussion instruments, yoga, meditation, body expression, clowning, improvisation, and environmental education. I’m also passionate about Collaboration Science — I could probably give a TED Talk about it! 😄
Professionally, I work as a small business consultant, and one of the things that brings me the most joy is helping people pursue their dreams and turn their ideas into reality. Supporting others in their creative or entrepreneurial journeys truly makes me happy — so if you have something in mind, I’d be more than happy to help you shape it and bring it to life.
