ABOUT ME I'm a curious person who enjoys learning new things and finding old things. I love both innovation and tradition. Any art form (writing, music, film, painting, print, cookery...) made with heart. I've worked as a designer and as an Art Teacher and I currently find myself lecturing at third level. My last three homes have been hundreds of miles apart but all by the sea, the sea. PHILOSOPHY Walking in nature.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING In Cornwall I loved hosting visitors in my remote peninsula. I didn't have that luxury while on the west coast of Ireland but now that I'm heading east I'd like to start CS-ing again. Coffee and a chat is all I can offer now but in time I'll hope to do some hosting again. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Always good.
Music, Movies, and Books
A wide variety, from traditional music to experimental. I have a soft spot for folk and electronic. Love Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. Affirming, independent cinema and books... Paul Auster and Siri Husvendt, childrens picture books plus a poem a day to keep the cynic away...
