Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t want to just exist and live slowly - I want to truly LIVE. I want to use my youth to travel as much as possible. In my opinion, there’s a big difference between travelers and tourists/people who go on vacation. A week at an all-inclusive hotel and daily swims in the pool? Not for me. When I go to another place, I want to truly get to know it, wander aimlessly through the city, noticing the little details. Connecting with locals is also incredible. I always think, “Oh, for them this is everyday life, they live here,” while for me, it’s a place I’m admiring.

I believe that we can die at any moment, like e.g even in a car accident, which is why we should seize the day without worrying too much about the future (even though I still do worry).
