COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've couch surfed a couple of times in Europe and Africa and it's been a positive experience. I've hosted more than stayed at others places- but always love meeting up when I'm in a city with someone from there :) I've always found that my most positive travel experiences have been those where I stay with someone who knows the city where you are staying. Whether it's a restaurant recommendation or showing you something you would have never discovered on your own, local eyes are the ones that know a city best.
