There's a saying in Chinese: "Walking ten thousand miles, is better than reading ten thousand books."

So that has been my goal- to walk ten thousand miles (or more!)

But I have realised during my previous trips that, the people you meet along the way are more important than the beautiful scenery you see. In the end, they are the ones who you remember, the ones that make your trip meaningful.

As you can see, I like smiling :D I am cheerful, curious, and always looking for ways to live my life to the fullest. I used to work in the office for a charity organisation. Currently, I have started a new adventure and am traveling with my husband Victor around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started my first couchsurfing trip in August 2015 and I guess there's no turning back! It has totally changed my concept of traveling. Needless to say, I love traveling AND eating, taking photos, learning new languages, talking to strangers, meeting new friends and hearing stories!

Interests

I have a lot of interests. Swimming, photography and traveling are on the top of the list. All of them make me feel free, that I am truly being myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a movie lover. My favourite movie of all time is a French movie called Amélie. Yes, I have watched it countless times, but every time I watch it again, it still fascinates, inspires and touches me in many different ways.

If you haven't watched it, it's about a girl who loves to observe, and is relentless and unafraid of doing what she thinks is right, regardless of the outcome and what people think of her.

As for favourite books, I have many of them, but one of them is A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway, who is also my favourite writer.

I love all kinds of music. I also sing in a choir and play the Chinese flute. If I have to pick a favourite, it's gotta be Canon in D major. I know, I know, you hear it everywhere, but I still haven't heard anything more beautiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my first year of college, I traveled to Australia alone and attempted to try bungee jumping AND skydiving on the SAME day, unfortunately weather was bad and skydiving was cancelled. BUT I did jumped off a bridge with a string attached to my feet, which was SOOO FUN! (Later in 2016, I went back to the same place and completed the skydiving experience! It was magical.)

I can share with my hosts my culture, language, food, music, history and my many travel stories. I am also a very good listener! :D

My husband and I are clean, tidy, respectful and flexible people. We love to hang out and chat if you are available but also totally understand if you are busy.
