There's just something about meeting new people and connecting, even when you grew up on opposite sides of the globe. I find that you can always, always always always, find something in everyone to connect to, relate to - from the homeless beggar to the greedy billionaire...we're all humans after all.
My overarching philosophy is one of kindness, gentleness, and grace, both to yourself and to others. To say that you owe nothing to the world and it owes nothing to you is a fool's belief; love and reckless optimism over control and greed.

After all - you wouldn't be on here if not for this philosophy...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A hotel or Air BnB won't give me the chance to meet people and experience the culture of wherever I'm visiting.
I want the real experience of the country I'm staying in! Sharing culture and experience is what I live for!!

While at my previous job, I didn't have the opportunity to travel internationally; they were EXTREMETLY strict on travel outside the US. Now that I'm out, I want the experiences and culture share that I missed for all those years.

I'm from Texas, so let me make you a southern dish like gumbo or chicken and dumplings!

I'm a huge people person as an extrovert, so whatever you're down for, so am I.

Let me teach you some sign language! Learn how to talk with your hands!

Additionally, when I travel, I always try to bring snacks and things from the US you can't typically get in Europe, so you can have a little taste of the states.
